Description
Replica front bumper of the original BMW E46 CSL front bumper.
Designed as a lightweight and cost effective replacement front bumper for all BMW E46 M3 and CSL’s.
Many people have fitted this product to their road cars but we don’t advise this as the quality and fitment is good enough. It is designed for use on track and race cars only. There is no front impact protection when using this bumper.

We strongly advise this product is only fitted by an experienced, skilled professional. It is a technical product that is not an easy fit. We estimate for a skilled professional it would take in the region on 4 to 5 hours. This is not an hours project in a home garage.
You will be required to remove your original crash bar (fitted behind your original bumper) as this is pre-made into our double skin bumper.
You will need to buy a pair of non M3 bumper dampers and bolts. These bolt to the end of the chassis legs, one each side. These are readily available from most breakers’ yards or Ebay

When fitting the bumper you will need to slide it onto the bumper dampers and then drill your own vertical holes to allow the bolts to pass through the bumper and the bumper dampers. We cannot pre-drill these holes as they have to be very accurate and drilled on the car to ensure a good fit.
The outer sliders are reused and the recesses are already manufactured in the double skin version of our bumper.
There is an air intake hole on the left side just as the original CSL bumper had. If you require a matching hole on the right side please let us know and we can accommodate this (often used for brake cooling hoses to be attached)
We do not supply a tow eye cover and there are no clips to allow the original plastic grill to be fitted. The plastic grill must be replaced with wire mesh or the original plastic grill can be glued in place using Tiger Seal or similar.
The single skin version is for track and race cars who want to be able to remove the bumper quickly for loading onto trailers. It is just the outer skin with no reinforcement or mounting provisions.
Please note this would fit non M3 cars but the front wings on the M3 have a wider arch and so the bumper is wider at each side to accommodate.
