EU Customers require EORI Number for orders
So Who Needs an EORI Number?
Any individual or business that ships to or from non-EU countries for commercial or trading purposes must have one.
I’m Not a Registered Business, Do I Still Need One?
Yes.
If you are considered to be trading with businesses or individuals in countries outside of the European Union, you must apply for an EORI number.
As the UK is no longer part of the EU, an EORI number is needed by both parties (sender/receiver) if one/both of the following conditions is met:
- The commercial value of the goods is greater than £130.00
- The weight of the goods exceeds 30kg
EORI numbers are issued by the customs authorities of the country your business is registered in or for private shippers, the country in which you reside.
You can find more information and how to register for an EORI through your local authority’s website.
